As many of you might know, the reason for us going to Bali started by booking our spots for the Fearless Conference. Fearless Photographers is a directory of some of the most inspiring and creative photographers on the planet. Go check out this link for some jaw dropping stuff. We knew the conference would be cool, but it was so much more than that. It wasn’t just about connecting or learning how to shoot, but it was two days filled with really inspiring and soulful stuff and listening to the speakers really turned our personal and photography world around….and we’re so excited to apply all that we’ve learned, not only into our photography, but also into our daily lives. Being able to meet so many down to earth photographers from all over the world was so refreshing and being able to share this experience with South African photographers, Jacki Bruniquel, Monica Dart, Charlene Schreuder and Darrell Fraser, was most definitely the cherry on top!!!!
Bali, was also a little break for us before we head into our new wedding season. Visiting Bali for just under two weeks was not enough. There’s far too much to experience. We decided to stay in Canggu, a little surfing village north of Kuta. Away from the touristy areas, where we could really experience the local vibe, as this is what we love most. Just to get lost and see the daily lives of the Balinese and most of all relax. Our favourite past time was driving with our scooters, especially late afternoon and just go where the wind takes us. Stopping in rice fields, watching the sun set, seeing the locals with their dogs on the street and kids playing with their kites. We cannot even begin to describe the Balinese people. They are the most humble, spiritual and friendly people you’ll ever meet. Bali will definitely see us again. We cannot wait to go back to experience more of this special island!!!!
